Video footage of British glamour model Chloe Ayling retracing her movements from a city studio where she was allegedly grabbed to a farmhouse where she was held for six days was played on Monday at the trial of a Polish man charged with her kidnapping.

The 20-year-old model was allegedly snatched by a group calling itself Black Death after being lured to a fake modelling shoot at a studio in Milan in July.

According to prosecutors, Ms Ayling was drugged at the studio, zipped inside a canvas bag and transported to a farmhouse near Turin, where she was held captive and drugged with the tranquilizer Ketamine.

A 30-year-old Polish man, Lukasz Herba, is being tried for the kidnapping. He was arrested after he released the 20-year-old model at the British consulate in Milan. Italian prosecutors are also seeking to try Herba's 37-year-old brother, Michal, who is in custody in Britain fighting extradition.

Evidence shown in court on Monday featured Ms Ayling revisiting the farmhouse in Italy's Piedmont region where she says she was held while her her captors allegedly negotiated her online sale into sex slavery.

Dressed casually in denim shorts and a singlet top, Ms Ayling is seen walking calmly with police through the streets of Viù, a mountain village north of Turin, to the locations where she had been spotted with her alleged kidnapper.

Investigator Gianluca Simontacchi told the court that Ms Ayling broke down in tears as they reached the farmhouse, and had to be calmed by her lawyer before being able to continue.

Inside the building, she pointed out a piece of furniture where she said she had been cuffed by her hands and feet overnight the first night. She then showed a bedroom, where she said later she shared a bed with her kidnapper. The pair used separate blankets.

She also showed investigators the nearby town she went to with Herba to buy food and sneakers.

“They seemed like a couple,” Pietro Pellegrino, a local resident who lived next door to where Ms Ayling was being held, told the court. “He seemed nice to her. He held out his hand.”

Ms Ayling's lawyer, Francesco Pesce, dismissed any notion that a video showing Ms Ayling walking hand-in-hand with Herba shown at an earlier hearing cast any doubt on the kidnapping allegation.

"She was holding hands with Herba but she looked, at least in my opinion, she looked frightened, quite scared," he said.

Herba's lawyer, Bozena Katia Kolakowska, said his client would testify at the next hearing, and that he is expected to say that the kidnapping was a ploy to give Ms Ayling's modeling career a boost.

A forensic toxicologist also testified that while Ms Ayling’s urine tested negative for Ketamine, a two-centimetre long hair sample tested positive for the drug. The exact time frame of ingestion could not be determined.
