British mum's terror after claiming 'intruder' walked into Turkey hotel room as kids slept
Brits are known for their love of a good holiday, often seeking respite from the dreary weather back home.
The allure of escaping the familiar surroundings for a bit of adventure is undeniable, and it's always refreshing to take a break. However, holidays can sometimes veer off course, leading to unexpected stress.
This was precisely the case for TikTok user @itsmamnotmum, who shared her distressing experience while vacationing in Antalya, Turkey. In a video recounting the event, she alleged: "A stranger came into our room last night. We are on holiday in Turkey and, at 10.30pm last night we were all sound asleep, and someone came into our room.
"So, I have a six month old, as you can see, we've got a two year old. Me an my husband on holiday and a member of staff, it turns out to be, holding a bottle of water, was in our room.
"Now, they did knock once, and they let themselves in straight away, without even waiting for someone to open the door. Holding a bottle of water, standing there."

She said it was particularly confusing because their fridge had been restocked earlier that day, leaving them puzzled about the necessity of such a late-night visit.
Reflecting on the incident, she expressed uncertainty about whether she was "overreacting", or if others would have felt similarly. Ultimately, feeling so uneasy, she took the precaution of wedging the pram against the door to stop anyone from entering.
She took these measures because she "didn't feel safe", and her concerns extended to the patio doors. While some might view her actions as extreme, she believed she shouldn't have to experience such feelings of insecurity while on a break, prompting her to seek the views of others.
Since being posted, her video has garnered over 16,000 views, with multiple viewers commenting that they've experienced similar situations. A few shared their sense of unease about the incident.
One person commented: "That's awful. I would do the same. Keep an extra eye on the kids today. Hope you're ok." Another shared: "Me and my husband went to Turkey last year. Met a young family, and the same thing happened to them."
A third person also chimed in with: "I would be changing hotels. That's scary!"
However, there was also a different perspective offered by one viewer, who said: "It's called turned down service. They do it in most good hotels. They either replenish water/towels too. You have to put DND on your door if you don't want it."
The hotel has been approached for comment.
