Britney Spears has deactivated her Instagram account again following a week-long drama with her family which was reignited after she did not invite them to her and Sam Asghari's wedding.

To recap, last week Britney wed her fiancé Sam at an intimate ceremony at their Los Angeles home. Despite Britney suffering a panic attack just hours before their nuptials, and her ex-husband attempting to "crash" the wedding, the pair seemingly had the perfect day surrounded by celebrity friends.

But Britney's family were noticeably missing from the lineup of wedding guests, with her father Jamie Spears, her mother Lynne Spears and her once-close sister Jamie-Lynn Spears not receiving an invite due to their alleged part in her 13 year conservatorship – which finally came to an end last year. Initial reports said that Britney's brother, Bryan Spears, had been invited but could not attend due to a prior commitment, although she denied these claims in a now-deleted Instagram post which (according to Page Six) said: "You were never invited to my wedding... GO F**K YOURSELF Bryan".

Since her wedding, the Toxic singer has been in the midst of a family feud on social media, particularly with her mum Lynn. Their drama came to a head on Wednesday when Britney shared a motivational video to her Instagram account along with a voiceover that said, "And don't you ever forget how they gave you distance when you needed love."

In response Lynn commented, "You have got to be kidding me!!", along with an eye-roll emoji – her comment was deleted within minutes, but not before Page Six took a screenshot.

It was sometime between Lynn's comment and Thursday evening that Britney decided to delete her Instagram account – presumably to give herself some much-needed time off socials after a week of arguing with her family. But this isn't the first time that the singer has gone off grid when it comes to social media, as she's deleted her Instagram before.

Back in September, just days after getting engaged to Sam, she took to Twitter to let fans know that despite her absence on Instagram, she is doing fine. "Don’t worry folks… just taking a little break from social media to celebrate my engagement !!!! I’ll be back soon," she wrote.

We can't wait to see Brit back on the Gram, after some well-deserved down time that is!
