Britney Spears has said she is “sick” to her stomach over false claims about her wellbeing.

Reports have been swirling about the singer’s inner circle planning an intervention over concerns for her wellbeing, with claims that the star’s behaviour was “erratic” and one source apparently saying they were worried she could die.

But Spears has now taken to Instagram to set the record straight, telling her fans: “Don’t believe everything you read!”

“It makes me sick to my stomach that it’s even legal for people to make up stories that I almost died… I mean at some point enough is enough!!!” said the Toxic star.

“I’m probably going to have to stop posting on Instagram because even though I enjoy doing it, there’s obviously a lot of people who don’t wish me well!!!

“I’m honestly not surprised at all… Again doing the best I can!!!”

Spears also referred to her 13-year conservatorship, which was lifted in 2021 following a long battle and a #FreeBritney fan movement.

She reminded her followers that it had been over for a while now, adding: “No folks, it’s not 2007… it’s 2023 and I’m making my first homemade lasagne at home!!!

The 41-year-old – who tied the knot with husband Sam Asghari last year – went on: “As my hubby says it best: don’t believe everything you read!!!

“All that love right back at ya!!!”

Spears' message comes just weeks after worried fans contacted police after she deleted her Instagram and asked them to perform a wellness check.
