Britney Spears is launching her own social media app

Move over Kim Kardashian, there’s a new queen in the social media town as Britney Spears is set to launch her very own app to connect and interact with her loyal fans.

Following the release of her previous iPhone app – a Glu Mobile game titled Britney Spears: American Dream – in May, the pop princess is now keen to invite the B-Army to follow her lifestyle via an all-new platform.

During a recent interview, Britney explained that the concept developed after realising that she had limited one-on-one interaction with her fans at Meet and Greet events.

“I meet like 30 to 40 people every night,” the 34-year-old told iHeartRadio. “They come in, I say hello to them, and we take pictures and they show me their tattoos, and they show me all these different things and it’s cool. It’s really fun. There’s a lot of regulars that come back every week.”

She then added: “With my app that I’m coming out with soon, there’s a lot of skits and a lot of interaction with the fans where I actually ask them questions and bring them into the situation so we can have some kind of connection going on.”

Before sharing the lolz on Britney’s new app, you can watch the Private Show songstress perform live at the 2016 iHeartRadio Music Festival on September 23 and 24 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

And since she was Born To Make You Happy, Britney will then jet over to London ahead of the Apple Music Festival on September 27 for her first performance in the UK in over five years.

In the meantime, we’re off to listen to her latest album Glory – which peaked at No. 2 on the US and UK singles charts last month – on repeat (all day, every day).
