Although many of us enjoy Britney Spears regular Instagram catwalk videos, she hasn't been at the forefront of the fashion industry since the early noughties when Juicy Couture tracksuits and hair scrunchies were still a thing.

Well, Kenzo have just changed that and have ensured that Britney is back with a bang.

The 36-year-old has been unveiled as the new face of the luxury French brand and stars in their latest La Collection Momento N°2 campaign.

The collection, designed by Carol Lim and Humberto Leon delves into the archives of Kenzo jeans meaning the designs are heavily focused on denim - and therefore who better to pull it off than the Queen of denim herself?

Bringing back a dose of nostalgia the mum-of-two stuns in an outfit which is reminiscent of her 2001 American Music Awards red carpet appearance with Justin Timerberlake.

Putting a modern twist on the iconic look, the Baby One More Time songstress is seen sporting head-to-toe denim featuring lace-up boots, a bikini, cropped denim jacket and baseball cap.

Needless to say, decades later denim on denim still looks darn good.

"I did lots of denim when I was a kid, and still do - it’s really versatile and fun, and just goes with everything" Britney said about her ongoing love for the material.

She does on to explain, "jeans and a tee shirt or a cute top are like my go-to outfit when I just want to be casual and comfy."

Referencing her memorable 2001 denim look she added, “And it can be dressy and cool too. I once wore a denim dress to an awards show.”

Yes Britney, how can we forget!

It may be 17-years-later but Britney definitely just proved you still can never wear too much denim.

The La Collection Momento N°2 campaign collection hits stores on 21st March.
