Britney Spears Wants To Record A Duet With Selena Gomez

The two former Disney stars – who are now pop music royalty – hinted at a possible team up on Twitter. And now we’re too excited.

Selena, 24, was asked if she would work with Britney, 34, on Snapchat and she responded: “Well babe, technically I have done a duet with Britney, [It’s] called ‘Hands’, buy it.”

Wearing a crown emoji (because Queen) in the video, Selena referred to the charity song, ‘Hands’, which features Britney and a host of other artists to raise money for victims of the Pulse nightclub massacre in Orlando.

The short clip was shared on Selena’s update account ‘Official Selenators’ and garnered over 4,000 retweets and over 6,000 likes, eventually reaching Britney herself.

Brit responded by tweeting: “Technically, yes… But when are we working on our actual duet @selenagomez?”

And it was at this point that fans (understandably, but sensationally) lost it:

Both stars rose to fame through Disney in their teen years, with Britney cast in The Mickey Mouse Club, while Selena starred in the leading role for Wizards of Waverly Place.

These days the pop pair’s schedules are fully packed, with Selena travelling the world on her Revival tour, and Britney selling out live shows and finishing up her ninth studio album.

We have a feeling that the duo will find time to pencil in some studio sessions together – in the meantime, we await the epic girl-power-driven pop anthem that will come out of this highly anticipated collaboration.
