BRITs 2019 best dressed: Little Mix, Jess Glynne and Maya Jama shine on red carpet

From Geri Halliwell's Union Jack dress to Lady Gaga's white tiered Francesco Scognamiglio gown, The Brit Awards has been responsible for some truly iconic style moments.

This year leading the best dressed was presenter Maya Jama, who wore one of the most eye-catching dresses of the evening.

The 24-year-old arrived in a dramatic frothy tulle number, which was accessorised with a pair of statement earrings and a high ponytail.

The dress was not that dissimilar to the ruffled Giambattista Valli gown Dua Lipa wore to the awards last year. The New Rules singer, however, went for a much more understated look this time around, wearing a Christopher Kane lace bodice cupcake dress from the brand's latest autumn/winter 2019 collection, which recieved a mixed response.

Jess Glynne exuded elegance as she arrived in a slinky ice blue gown, which boasted a draped asymmetric top, open back and sweeping train by Vivienne Westwood couture.

Little Mix created a trend of their own on the evening, as Perrie Edwards, Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock all championed very high-leg slits. For once the girl band didn't wear coordinating outfits, instead letting their personality shine through in varying silhouettes.

The red carpet also saw some very dapper gents show off their style credentials.

Liam Payne opted for a classic black suit with a dash of burgundy trim, Calvin Harris wore a sharp khaki creation and Shawn Mendes made a sartorial statement in a duck egg blue design.
