Brooke Shields Stars in New Netflix Movie ‘A Castle for Christmas’ (& It Looks Surprisingly Good)

This upcoming Netflix movie is giving us major Hallmark vibes.

The streaming service just released the first official trailer for A Castle for Christmas, which is pretty much a cross between A Christmas Prince and The Princess Switch.

In the trailer, viewers are introduced to the semi-cheesy story line, which follows an American author named Sophie (Brooke Shields), who travels to Scotland in the hope of buying a castle. (NBD.)

“I’m Sophie Brown, author of 11 bestselling novels and then one massive flop,” she says in the clip.

While there, Sophie finds the home of her dreams. Everything changes when she meets the current owner, Myles (Elwes), who’s hesitant about selling the property to a foreigner. “Before we get started, there are a few conditions,” he says.

Of course, Myles makes her stay extremely unpleasant. “Her deposit will get us through Christmas,” he tells a friend. “Meanwhile, we’ll make her life so miserable, she’ll realize her mistake and leave.”

But Sophie refuses to go down without a fight. “I have a little family history in this place,” she adds. “So, if you’re trying to discourage me, you’re not going to do it.”

Netflix’s official synopsis reads, “To escape a scandal, a bestselling author journeys to Scotland, where she falls in love with a castle—and faces off with the grumpy duke who owns it.”

Will Sophie and Myles find a compromise…before it’s too late? Guess we’ll have to wait until A Castle for Christmas hits Netflix on November 26.
