Brooke Vincent left fighting tears as she's supported by Coronation Street icon during big home return
Brooke Vincent appeared to be feeling emotional as she revealed she was supported by a Coronation Street icon during her big return to Greater Manchester. The actress has been back and forth to her home city as she travels the country in her first-ever stage role.
It was announced back in November last year that Brooke, 31, would be making her stage debut by starring in the late Kay Mellor’s final stage play. Like the BBC show of the same name it is the story of five supermarket workers whose lottery syndicate numbers come in just as their jobs and livelihoods are under threat.
It is being directed by Kay’s daughter and former Emmerdale actress Gaynor Faye in her late mum's name with Brooke starring alongside Gaynor and former Emmerdale star Samantha Giles.

And after weeks of performing in the show, over the weekend, Brooke was back on home turf as the show had its turn at The Lowry. Ahead of the show, the mum-of-two posed up a storm outside the venue in Salford as well as inside the theatre.
"The One. @syndicatetheplay TAKES MANCHESTER @the_lowry," Brooke captioned the post before she later shared a string of snaps revealing who had joined her for the show's opening night at The Lowry on Friday (May 17).
And among those to join her was some of her Corrie pals, including former on-screen mum Sally Dynevor, Ryan Thomas and none other that cobbles legend Barbara Knox, who is famed for playing Rita Tanner in the ITV soap.
Alongside a picture of Barbara which was shared to The Lowry's Instagram page, Brooke wrote to her own fans and followers: "She only came to watch," alongside a crying face emoji and a broken heart emoji.
Ryan, who starred as Jason Grimshaw in the soap, was also seen after the show posing for a beaming snap with Brooke and Gaynor, alongside which he said: "So proud of these tow ladies. What a performance, what a show and what a cast! @syndicatetheplay @msgfaye @brookelevivincent."
Sally, who continues to play Brooke's on-screen mum Sally Metcalfe in Corrie, was also seen posing for a snap with Brooke and said: "Love you @brookelevivincent. Well done!"
And as she shared a string of photos to her Instagram page from the opening night, Michelle Keegan was quick to respond as she cheered: "Go on B!!" Fans were also keen to react to Barbara's appearance.
@shazza145 said: "Never see pictures of the Lovely Barbara Knox! How lucky are you." @lyndseykirk352 commented: "Barbra Knox is literally an icon I mean wowza to have her there supporting you is something else. I’d be so star struck if I ever met her. Obviously I know you know her personally but just wow."
