Yahoo News Brooklyn 99 star responds to fans campaign for her to play Marvel's She-Hulk
Brooklyn Nine-Nine star Stephanie Beatriz has responded to fans campaigning online for her to play the role of She-Hulk in Disney+'s upcoming Marvel series.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Stephanie said: "I would die to play that role.
"That is so flattering. That is one of the best characters in that universe."
Stephanie even admitted she may have started training for the role, saying: "I definitely have upped my work-outs since reading some of those things.
"But also, [I think it would] be really exciting for fans to see some of these characters that we kind of decided are one thing, to sort of be imagined in a different way."
The She-Hulk series was announced during the Disney+ presentation at D23 in August.
In the comics, Jennifer Walters is a successful lawyer and the cousin of Bruce Banner. She ends up acquiring a version of his Hulk abilities after an emergency blood transfusion from him.
But unlike Bruce Banner, Jennifer is able to retain her language capacity and personality while in Hulk form.
Disney+ will also features series based on Moon Knight and the Kamala Khan version of Ms Marvel. The Ms Marvel series will break new ground for featuring Marvel's first Muslim superhero.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine airs on NBC in the US and E4 in the UK. Seasons 1-5 are also streaming on Netflix in the UK.
