Brooklyn Nine-Nine star Andre Braugher recently bagged himself a Primetime Emmy nomination ahead of the 2020 awards ceremony, and his co-stars cannot... even... with the news.
The actor, who plays Captain Raymond Holt on the hugely popular cop show, received a nod in this year's Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series category opposite the likes of The Marvelous Mrs Maisel's Tony Shalhoub, Ramy's Mahershala Ali, The Good Place's William Jackson Harper and Schitt's Creek star Dan Levy.
"I'm thankful to represent #Brooklyn99," Braugher wrote on Twitter after the news broke. "Thank you to the @TelevisionAcad for the nomination."
Unsurprisingly, it didn't take long for his co-stars to react to the news on social media either.
Stephanie Beatriz, aka Rosa Diaz, tweeted in all caps: "ANDRE BRAUGHER," while Melissa Fumero, who plays Amy Santiago, shared a similar message of enthusiasm just minus a surname with: "ANDREEEEEEE!!!!!!" (They're right, too, there is no further explanation needed).
"One of the many pleasures & great fortune of working on @nbcbrooklyn99 has been the opportunity of sharing time with the great Andre Braugher," Dirk Blocker, who stars as Hitchcock, shared.
"Congratulations to him on yet another Emmy nomination. So well deserved!"
Scully actor Joel McKinnon Miller kept it short and sweet, too, with a simple, "Congratulations!"
"WELL DESERVED!!!! Congrats," Terry Crews, who plays Terry Jeffords, added.
The Marvelous Mrs Maisel's Sterling K Brown, The Kominsky Method's Alan Arkin and Saturday Night Live's Kenan Thompson are also nominated alongside Braugher.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine airs on NBC in the US. E4 aired season 7 in the UK, with seasons 1-6 available on Netflix.
