Bruce Willis puts an end to Die Hard's Christmas debate

From Digital Spy

John McTiernan's 1988 classic Die Hard has been the topic of discussion for a number of years amongst film fans.

There's been years of debate as to whether or not it's actually a Christmas movie, as it's set during the festive period and also closes out with a jazzy rendition of 'Let It Snow'.

Leading man Bruce Willis has now finally given fans what they want. Yes that's right, we finally have an official answer from John McClane himself (via reporter Ryan Parker's Twitter).

During Comedy Central's Roast of Bruce Willis, the Hollywood giant took to the stage to confirm that Die Hard is in fact NOT a Christmas movie.

The actor closed out the event by declaring once and for all: "#DieHard is not a Christmas movie!"

This declaration followed a good-humoured verbal battering from his friends and fellow A-listers, including ex-wife Demi Moore. The actress joked: "I was married to Bruce for the first three Die Hard movies, which makes sense because the last two sucked."

The Ghost star found plenty more fuel in the tongue-flexing tank, unloading bruising lines focused on Willis' career.

"Bruce considered the end of our marriage his biggest failure. Bruce, don't be so hard on yourself, you had much bigger failures. Planet Hollywood, Hudson Hawk… campaigning for Michael Dukakis, turning down [George] Clooney's role in Ocean's Eleven to focus on playing the harmonica."

She then quipped that Willis was "easily one of my top three husbands" following their marriage between 1987 and 2000. Moore has also been married to Ashton Kutcher and Freddy Moore.
