A male shark was found bruised and bloodied off a beach in Santa Cruz, California, on Friday, April 7. The shark washed ashore at the base of Pleasure Point cliffs and doctors believe he was also sick.
The Santa Cruz Sentinel reported on the 10-foot shark, writing a rescue proved difficult because of high tide and rising swells. As of Saturday, the shark hadn’t been rescued and should it die, it’s carcass would be taken to a facility for review. Credit: Instagram/Robert Crompton via Storyful
