Brunching with Kanye? New York's A-list restaurants, bars and members clubs

Whether you’re a local New Yorker or visiting the Big Apple for the weekend, the city is packed with stylish spots where A-listers and society kingpins love to hang out.

At most of them, discretion is the order of the day. Inside members-only Soho House and downtown hangout The Bowery Hotel, photos are strictly forbidden, and at the similarly celeb-heavy nightclub The Blond, the mood lighting is low enough for VS angels and movie stars to keep a low profile.

But New Yorkers don’t have to venture to a dimly-lit nightclub night to hang out with the smart set, particularly since most stars prefer intimate gatherings to late-night partying these days, anyway. There's chef Missy Robbin’s ridiculously popular Lilia (even Jennifer Lawrence had to wait 30 minutes for a table) in Williamsburg, where former Disney Channel star Dylan Sprouse recently spent a date night with his Victoria’s Secret Angel girlfriend Barbara Palvin.

Or there’s ABC Kitchen, the chef Jean-Georges restaurant frequented by everyone from Meg Ryan to Kanye West.

For a far more low-key vibe, Soho’s Broken Coconut offers a truly fast-casual experience, complete with smoothie bowls and avocado toast, where you'll probably find yourself dining next to a supermodel (it’s pretty popular with anyone Leonardo DiCaprio has dated).
