Brush Fire Jumps Highway and Threatens Homes Near Naples, Florida

Crews worked to contain four brush fires burning across around 400 acres in Naples, Florida, on May 13, local media reported.

One of the fires threatened about 30 homes in Golden Gate Estates, burning 50 to 60 acres, Naples News said.

The Collier County Sheriff’s Office and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission were coordinating voluntary evacuations from the areas near the fires. The Greater Naples Fire Department said units from all emergency response agencies were working to contain the blaze.
