A teenager who was injured in the deadly terrorist attacks in Brussels was also involved in near misses during the bombings in Paris and Boston.

Mason Wells was one of four Mormon missionaries from the U.S. who was injured when suicide bombers attacked the Zaventem Airport in Belgium.

The 19-year-old was hit by shrapnel and suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon and burns, but survived the incident.

His father, Chad Wells, said that this was the third time his son had been caught up in terrorism.

He told ABC News America: “This is his third terrorist attack.

"This is the third time that sadly in our society that we have a connection to a bomb blast.

“We live in a dangerous world and not everyone is kind and loving.

"He shared with us that he was extremely close to the blast where he was burned by it. It’s a blessing from God he’s alive.”

Mason was apparently just one block away from the finish line of the Boston Marathon in 2013 as he waited for his mother Kymberly to finish the race.

Three people were killed when bombs went off while another 264 were injured

The teen was also near Paris on November 13 - when ISIS terrorists launched multiple attacks on the city killing 130 people.

Mason is expected to make a full recovery along with the three other injured missionaries.

ISIS have claimed responsibility for the Brussels attacks at the airport and metro station, which killed at least 34 people.
