BELMONT, Mass. (AP) _ BSB Bancorp Inc. (BLMT) on Thursday reported third-quarter net income of $6.2 million.

The Belmont, Massachusetts-based bank said it had earnings of 66 cents per share.

The bank posted revenue of $26.8 million in the period. Its revenue net of interest expense was $16.5 million, surpassing Street forecasts.

BSB Bancorp shares have climbed almost 6 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $30.97, increasing slightly in the last 12 months.
