BSL Bill: Labour MP pays heartfelt tribute to deaf community

Labour MP Rosie Cooper has paid an emotional tribute to the deaf community as she presented Parliament with a Bill to make British Sign Language (BSL) a recognised language. Holding back tears, the backbencher - who grew up with deaf parents - said: "It's an understatement to say that deaf culture and values have shaped the person I am today … this Bill is my way of paying it forward.".
