Founded by 1980s punk veterans Tim Armstrong and Matt Freeman, Rancid's hits include 'Ruby Soho' and 'Time Bomb' from their platinum-selling album ...And Out Come the Wolves.
Also joining Green Day are Gypsy punk group Gogol Bordello, Swedish garage band The Hives and Australian punk act The Living End.
Punk rockers Beach Slang, American bands SWMRS and Sunflower Bean are also supporting Green Day, alongside newbies Public Access TV.
This year's event includes a number of big acts headlining, including Justin Bieber, Kings of Leon and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.
Last week, The Killers were announced as the final headline act, with support from Elbow, Tears for Fears and White Lies.
As well as Blondie supporting Collins act, also on the bill that day will be his fellow Genesis member Mike Rutherford and his supergroup Mike + the Mechanics, alongside Starsailor.
The Debbie Harry-fronted group said that they are "looking forward" to returning to London, with more acts on other days yet to be announced.
