In what could have been traumatising news for BTS obsessives, band member Jin has revealed that the group almost disbanded this year.

The group won the Best Artist award at the 2018 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMAs) and, once on stage, Jin made the shocking admission.

During their acceptance speech, an emotional Jin explained how the pressure of being the biggest band in the world almost got to the K-Pop group, and that they nearly called it quits.

"We suffered a lot this year," he said. "We even thought about disbanding but we all gathered our hearts together again, and receiving this award, Iʼm glad that it lead to a good result.

"Iʼm very grateful to our members who were able to unite their hearts and want to say thank you to ARMYs who always love us."

In news that probably won't stress fans out as much, BTS will be hosting their own Christmas Day special on BBC Radio 1.

After Little Mix finish their own show, fans can tune in from 12pm onwards to hear the South Korean boy band (who recently broke one of Taylor Swift's records), along with Adele Roberts. The K-pop superstars will be heard trying some traditional British Christmas treats for the very first time, including tucking into mince pies.
