Bugatti has become the latest automaker to venture into the nautical world, joining with boat builder Palmer Johnson to create a Chiron-inspired superyacht.
The Bugatti Niniette 66 mimics the Chiron’s sweeping ‘C line’, which dominates the side of the car. Its two-tone paint scheme matches that of the €2.4million (£2.1million) car and despite the immense size difference between the pair, they are unmistakeably cut from the same cloth. Just 66 of the boats will be built, and Palmer Johnson says each will cost ‘in the region of a Chiron’.

With Palmer Johnson’s trademark narrow advanced stabilised hull and lightweight materials featuring throughout, the 66ft long and 21ft 8in wide (at its widest point) Niniette is capable of reaching speeds of up to 44 knots, while remaining stable and efficient.
This is thanks to the two Man V8 1000bhp engines, which in turn power the boat’s MJP waterjets. A maximum draft of 33 inches means that the Niniette will be well suited to cruising in shallow waters.
On deck, unique Bugatti-designed helm chairs are positioned in front of a futuristic command centre. From here, the skipper can adjust vessel navigation, monitoring, control and entertainment via the interactive infotainment system.
Behind the cockpit is a space designed to maximise the passengers’ relaxation. Sofas surround a fire pit and Jacuzzi on the carbon composite deck.
This exquisite exterior is complemented by a capacious cabin below deck. Luxurious materials such as polished metal, carbon, leather and marble adorn the furnishings of both the lounge area and the master suite, while personalisation options are extensive.
The Niniette 66 is available to order now, with a build and delivery period of 12 months.
Etienne Salomé, design director at Bugatti, said: “The Niniette is a genuine member of the Bugatti family.
“Even from a large distance when entering a port, the Niniette will always be recognised as a true Bugatti.”
Other carmakers to have turned their hands at boat building include Mercedes-Benz, Aston Martin and Lamborghini.
