'Building Up Fast!': Winter Storm Sweeps California's Sierra Nevada Mountains

A winter storm covered California’s Sierra Nevada mountain range in white, creating treacherous travel conditions early on Wednesday, November 2, the National Weather Service (NWS) said.

Video from the UC Berkeley Central Sierra Snow Lab shows heavy snow falling outside the lab on Tuesday evening.

“’Building up fast!” the lab wrote in a tweet, adding they “unofficially” recorded at least four inches of snow at the time. Credit: UC Berkeley CSSL via Storyful
