Buildings and Roadways in Resort Town Submerged as Deadly Flooding Hits Northern India

Heavy rainfall wreaked havoc in India’s northern Uttarakhand state, as landslides cut off roads leading to the resort town of Nainital.

This video, taken by photographer Amit Sah, shows cars and buildings submerged in floodwaters.

Flooding in the state killed at least 64 people by October 21, according to the Times of India.

The India Meteorological Department warned of continued heavy rainfall and thunderstorms through to Sunday.
