Bulldozer Clears Ice From Street After Freak Storm in Mexico's Guadalajara

Crews worked to clear the ice-covered streets of the Rancho Blanco area of Guadalajara, Mexico, after a severe hailstorm hit the city on Sunday, June 30, local media reported.

In a July 1 tweet, Guadalajara officials said more than 750 staff had been deployed to help in the relief efforts.

Local media, citing the city’s mayor, said flooding entered some homes and 10 people were admitted to hospital with hypothermic symptoms.

The ice that was lifted from the streets of Rio Blanco was piled high by before being taken away in dump trucks, the Jalisco State civil protection and fire department said on Twitter.
