It'll be like the Christmases of yesteryear if you visit the Bullring this week. If the recent openings of SDMN, Pop Mart and Pureseoul are anything to go by, shoppers will be queuing up for hours and flooding the shopping centre in a bid to check out the huge new stores opening in the coming days.

The first of the new shops to explore is River Island which, which not new to the centre, has been closed for the past two weeks for refurbishment. The shop has been shut for what the shopping centre called a 'glow up', and all of the details of that are here.

In what seems to be a new tradition for new Birmingham shops, the relaunch comes with treats for shoppers. There are exclusive discounts available when the shop reopens today, Saturday, November 9.

Another familiar name will join River Island on that side of the mall this week too. Zara, which is taking over both the third floor of the old Debenhams and the unit opposite, is set to open both new shops on Thursday, November 14.

But perhaps more hotly anticipated than either of the fashion stores, cosmetics giant Sephora will finally open its first Birmingham shop in the old Victoria's Secret on Wednesday, November 13. The shop has unveiled that it will be hosting give-aways in store so queues are almost guaranteed as fans of the viral store head to the shopping centre for their chance to snag one.
