A couple were left in stitches after reviewing footage of an intruder in their garden to find out they received instant karma.

Kellie Evans, who was originally startled after being woken up by her video doorbell's alert at 4am, couldn't help but find the funny side of things after reviewing the footage.

The presence of an apparent intruder in her and her husband Dominic's garden triggered a motion notification as she sprung up from her bed and alerted her husband as they suspected it could be one of their sons.

When Dominic looked out the window, he quickly found out the person was a 'disorientated stranger', reports Wales Online. After shouting at the intruder, he quickly scarpered off as the couple went back to review the footage.

And the video gave them a right giggle, showing the visibly disoriented man stumbling into their front garden. He wanders around the grass before trying to get over the wall, at which point he staggers and falls to the ground.

Mrs Evans said: "We'd been out to an event - we never go out - got back home and went to sleep at about midnight. At around 4am, I was alerted to the Ring alert on my phone, and it turned out to be that guy.

"It was only when we got back in and locked all the doors again and watched the video back that I saw the extent to actually how funny it was. I thought 'What are the chances of catching that?'

"I was laughing, and I've probably watched it 100 times today, and it is probably just as funny as when I watched it for the first time. You feel sorry for the man at the same time, as you think, 'Oh, that must have hurt'. You could see he had his phone out, and he seemed quite stumbly."

"I was thinking, I'd love to be a fly on the wall when he wakes up and wonders: 'What the hell did I do last night?' being covered in bruises, as clearly he will not remember himself.

"Without a Ring doorbell we would never have known that someone had been out and stumbling around in our garden."
