Burglars with weapons break into Plymouth flat and launch terrifying attack

Two armed men broke into a Plymouth home before attacking the people inside. Police were called to a property on Foxwood Gardens, in Plymouth, last night, Tuesday, September 17.

Two men forced entry into a property and attacked the people inside with weapons. They then fled the scene, police said.

Damage was caused to the flat and a car parked outside. A police cordon was put in place for forensics officers to investigate.

Officers are looking to locate the men involved and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police are investigating an aggravated burglary, following reports of a disorder in Foxwood Gardens, Plymouth on Tuesday 17 September.

"It was reported two males forced entry into a property and attacked persons inside with weapons before leaving the scene. Nobody was seriously injured during the incident.

"Damage was also caused to the flat and a car parked outside. A scene guard was put in place.

"Enquiries to locate the suspects are ongoing. Anybody with information that may assist investigating officers is asked to get in touch via 101 or our website quoting 50240235909."
