Burglary suspect arrested as police recover stolen bikes

A 28-year-old man was arrested in connection with a burglary in central Swindon.

Swindon Central South Neighbourhood Officers arrested him at 8am on suspicion of non-dwelling burglary, theft of a pedal cycle and going equipped to steal.

Police at the scene recovered two bikes that are thought to have been stolen, but not linked to the initial offences under investigation.

The pedal cycles have adult-sized frames and are:

  • Swifty Amsera electric bike (blue)

  • Carrera Vengeance 27.5 (gold/yellow)

Wiltshire Police have asked the public to contact them if either of these bikes belongs to them via the 101 non-emergency number and quote crime reference number 5420064736.
