Burnley road closed due to bike and car collision
A Burnley road was closed in both directions today after a collision with a car and bike.
Colne Road had been blocked for motorists due to an accident earlier this afternoon (Tuesday, September 17). Lancashire Police were called to reports of a disturbance at around 2.50pm today, where a dirt bike had collided with a car and a push bike.
A man had been taken to hospital but it is thought his injuries are not life threatening. Police are continuing with their enquiries into the collision.

Although the road has since reopened, Colne Road had been blocked in both directions due to the accident on Extwistle Street.
A police spokesperson said: "We were called to a report of a disturbance on Colne Road at around 2.50pm today. It was reported that a dirt bike had collided with a car and a push bike.
"A man has been taken to hospital and enquiries are ongoing. Thankfully his injuries aren’t thought to be life threatening. The road has reopened and anyone with information can contact 101 quoting log 0862 of September 17."
