Burst of March Snow Delights Somerset Resident
“Frightful” wintry weather in Somerset put one local man in a “delightful” mood on Wednesday, March 8.
Footage recorded by Neil Plumpton shows snow on North Street in Wiveliscombe, near Taunton, on Wednesday morning.
Plumpton can be heard singing a rendition of Let it Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow! as flakes fall from the sky.
It wasn’t all delight, however, as local media reported on school and road closures amid up to four inches of snowfall in Somerset.
The weather caused airport closures and other disruption across the south of the UK on Wednesday. The cold weather was expected to last until Friday. Credit: Neil Plumpton via Storyful
