Burst water main forces road closure in east Hull

A traffic diversion is in place as work is carried out to repair a burst water main on a main road in east Hull.

Part of Marfleet Lane has been closed from the junction with Ceylon Street to Hedon Road. A lane closure has also been put in place on Hedon Road while Yorkshire Water works to fix the issue. It is not currently known how long this will take.

A Yorkshire Water spokesperson said "A road closure is currently in place at Marfleet Lane from the junction of Hedon Road to Ceylon Street, and an inside lane closure on Hedon Road due to a burst water main. A diversion is in place and the team is working as quickly as possible to fix the issue.
