Bury's motorists will have 10 road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network in the next two weeks.

And eight of them are expected to cause moderate delays with drivers facing waits of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• A56, from 9pm on November 7 to 6am on Tuesday, December 20, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A56 northbound and southbound, M66, junction 1 to Bent Gate - carriageway closure for carriageway - reconstruction/renewal.

• A56, from 9pm on October 17 to 6am on Friday, December 23, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A56 northbound and southbound, M66 J1 to Bent Gate - carriageway closure for carriageway - reconstruction/renewal.

• M60, from 9pm on October 24 to 6am on February 11, 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise and anti-clockwise, junction 17 to junction 18 - lane closure for inspection/survey.

And a further seven closures will begin over the next seven days:

• M60, from 9pm today, Monday, December 5 to 6am on Friday, December 9, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M66 northbound and southbound, junction 3 to 4 - lane closure and slip road closures for drainage.

• A56, from 8pm on Sunday, December 11 to 5am on Monday, December 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M66 southbound, jct 0 to 1 lane closure for structures.

• A56, from 9pm on Monday, December 12 to 5am on Thursday, December 15, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M66 northbound and southbound, junction 0 - two lane closure carriageway closure due to maintenance works.

• M62, from 8.30pm on Wednesday, December 14 to 5am on Thursday, December 15, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M66 southbound, junction 2 to 4 lane closure and carriageway closures due to communications.

• A56, from 9pm on Friday, December 16 to 5am on Sunday, December 18, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M66 northbound and southbound, junction 0 - two lane closure carriageway closure due to maintenance works.

• M66, from 9pm on Sunday, December 18 to 5am on Monday, December 19, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M66 northbound and southbound, junction 4 - two lane closure carriageway closure due to maintenance works.

• M60, from 9pm on Monday, December 19 to 5am on Tuesday, December 20, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M66 southbound, junction 1 to junction 3 - carriageway closure for Horticulture (Cutting and Planting).

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
