Bus passengers and driver forced to abandon vehicle in Nuneaton after vandals attack

Passengers and a driver were forced to flee a bus after a vandalism attack in Nuneaton. It happened on the 148 bus between Nuneaton and Coventry last night.

Stagecoach Midlands has said it was a 'rare' incident and that no-one was hurt as a result of the incident, which happened just before 7.30pm. But the passengers and the driver were forced to get off the bus close to the Griff Island.

They had to wait for a replacement to arrive so that they could continue their journey. Explaining what happened, a Stagecoach Midlands spokesperson said: "An object was thrown at the window of a bus.

"The driver checked on the passengers and transferred them to another vehicle. Fortunately, no one was hurt and these kinds of incidents are incredibly rare."
