Bus and two cars collide in Stoke-on-Trent with police and paramedics on scene

A bus and two cars were involved in a smash on a busy Stoke-on-Trent road. Police and paramedics were sent to Hanley Road, Sneyd Green, following the three-vehicle collision this morning (January 14).

Officers closed part of Hanley Road - between Smallthorne roundabouts and the Esperanto Way junction - shortly before 10am. Paramedics assessed three patients but none of them needed hospital treatment.

Pictures from the scene showed a police car blocking the Hanley Road exit from Smallthorne roundabouts.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We were called to reports of a three-vehicle RTC between two cars and a bus on Hanley Road, Sneyd Green at 9.50am. We sent two ambulances to the scene where, on arrival, crews found three patients.

"A man was assessed by crews, but did not wish to go to hospital, so was given selfcare advice and was discharged at the scene. The other two patients were assessed by our crews however none required medical treatment and were discharged at the scene."
