Bushfire Breaks Out at Voyager Point in Sydney's West

A bushfire broke out close to homes in Western Sydney, with fire authorities warning locals to ‘Watch and Act’ on January 5.

Bushland at Voyager Point on the Georges River began burning around midday. Residents in Voyager Point and Hammondville were urged to monitor the conditions.

The fire forced the closure of the M5 Motorway between Henry Lawson Dr & Heathcote Rd.
