Business 'acquires' firm with UK HQ in Stoke-on-Trent and 85 staff

A company with its UK HQ in Stoke-on-Trent and 85 employees has been 'acquired' by another business. Aggregate Industries UK has swallowed up Land Recovery, on Copp Lane, in Tunstall.

Land Recovery was founded in 1982 by the Beecroft family. It has three other sites in the UK - a railyard in Yorkshire and quayside sites in East Anglia and Ellesmere Port, in Cheshire.

The Beecroft family has welcomed the deal.

Land Recovery managing director Dan Beecroft said: "We are really looking forward to taking the business forward with Aggregate Industries. This allows us to continue our ambitious growth plans and to develop our offering. It is really beneficial to be part of a leading UK and global company which has a clear vision and to be able to have access to its networks and expertise.”

Aggregate Industries chief executive Dragan Maksimovic added: “This acquisition further strengthens our position. There is very clear alignment between Land Recovery’s growth ambitions and our vision."
