The newly reformed trio sold around 100,000 tickets in 60 minutes after demand for the shows surpassed all expectations.

Busted fans rushed in their droves to snap up tickets to see all three members back on stage again for the first time since Charlie Simpson left the band in 2005.

To celebrate the huge success the boys rushed to their billboard to spray paint ‘SOLD OUT’ across the dates.

Fans can now catch the band at extra nights in Glasgow, London, Cardiff, Manchester and Birmingham.

Speaking about his decision to rejoin the band, Charlie Simpson insisted that his motivation was more than just the pay cheque.

“I’m sure cynics will say I’ve done this for the money – but I haven’t. For a start I could have returned for McBusted and made money on that, but I didn’t,” he said, adding:

“Of course, I hope it’s a success, it would be weird if I didn’t. But things needed to be right between us for this too work.”

So far, so good.
