Busy start to the year for UK Border Force, bringing migrants in after handover from French warship

The UK Border Force had a busy start to the year, picking up another group of migrants from a French warship in the English Channel on Monday 10 January. About 20 migrants were brought to Dover harbour for processing, on a Border Force RIB (rigid inflatable boat). The RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution -- a British lifeboat charity) was also out patrolling the busy shipping lane, which has become a route to the UK for tens of thousands of migrants a year.
