Five families. Multiple challenges. One button.

This is the premise of the BBC’s latest game-show which involves families competing against one another in their homes in the hopes of winning cash prizes.

The Button challenges its family contestants to complete utterly random, unpredictable tasks in the quickest time possible.

From building a tower out of tin cans to cracking eggs over their heads, The Button promises an easy-watching, fun-filled evening as the game-show makes its way around the UK.

What is The Button?

The newest game-show to air on the BBC, The Button is a family-friendly contest that challenges contestants to complete an array of tasks in the quickest time possible.

The miniature television set, complete with a button on top, provides families with a task and together they must brainstorm the best way to approach it.

From the makers of Taskmaster, The Button offers a happy snapshot into Britain’s family living rooms.

How does it work?

Placed in the heart of contestants’ homes, families must keep their eyes peeled for the moment the green button turns to red and the clock starts ticking.

The Button device not only delivers their challenge but also interacts with families and reveals how their rival teams are also getting on for added pressure.

Every week, the family crowned winner will have completed the series of challenges in the quickest time.

Who takes part in The Button?

Over the course of eight weeks, The Button will visit exactly forty homes across the UK.

When is The Button on?

The Button starts on BBC One at 8:30pm this evening and will air for the next two months.
