Three bystanders became heroes when they helped to rescue a young child from a car that had rolled into the water at East Bay Sand Bar, Nova Scotia, Canada, on July 24.

The three, named in a CTV report as Ajay Singh, Vikram Dalal and Lovepreet Kumar, were enjoying a day at the beach when they saw a car roll into the water.

They dived in to help pull the car out and were able to rescue a young child who was sleeping in the back of the vehicle.

Cape Breton Regional Police told Storyful that by the time officers arrived on the scene, the child had been rescued and was uninjured. Police and a bystander with a truck helped tow the car out of the water.
