Cadbury axes popular Christmas chocolate as shoppers 'demand' it's saved
Cadbury has confirmed it has discontinued a popular Christmas chocolate bar as shoppers demand it’s brought back. Cadbury has moved to axe its Dairy Milk Winter Orange Crisp Chocolate Bar this festive season ahead of Christmas.
It comes after one X user asked Cadbury if the bar would be returning to shelves this Christmas. They wrote: "@CadburyUK will you be bringing back the orange festive crisp bar this year? Pleeeeeeasse." The company responded, writing: "Hi there, we're always adapting our Christmas range to ensure there's something new for everyone. This year, we've made a few updates we think you will love.
"We understand some will miss the Dairy Milk Orange Crisp Bar. Who knows, we might see them again next year. We hope this helps." The disappointed customer wrote back to say: "Fingers crossed it’s back next year! Me and my friends miss it!"

In a three star review on Amazon, a shopper wrote: "Most Cadbury chocolate is delicious in my opinion, so when I saw this was a box of 13 bars for a great price I added it to my Fresh delivery. Unfortunately only 1 bar was delivered....Cue a long chat online with customer service and they said they'd send a replacement that would be the correct amount-nope still only 1 bar was sent out! Be aware if you're expecting 13 bars of chocolate-you'll probably be disappointed."
"Did not like, poor experience. Not 13 bars, would not buy again," a second wrote. But a five-star review wrote: "This was not quite what I expected but it was a pleasant bit of variety. I'm not a massive chocolate consumer but I do like to try something new sometimes. To put this Winter Orange version in a context most people the UK might know - I'll compare it to the spherical Terry's chocolate.
"Firstly this bar is texturally very different, it has small crunchy crystals in, somewhere with mint crisp crystals and rice crispies in size and consistency. I prefer this, it adds a bit of variety without being overwhelming or feeling like a cop-out to avoid adding more chocolate. The orange itself is less intense than Terry's is to me, but definitely still up front. You can taste the orange, enjoy it, but it doesn't linger for hours afterwards."
