Cadbury has axed a popular Christmas product saying it has to make way for something new. Some chocolate fans have been left disappointed after the firm failed to bring back its Dairy Milk Winter Orange Crisp chocolate bar.

The treat came out two years ago to the delight of many sweet lovers. Sweet Reviews UK described it at the time as "sweet and creamy" adding "how could we resist. It posted in its review: "With 360g of orange flavoured Cadbury chocolate and honeycomb pieces how could we resist. ⠀

"The bar is actually better than expected. Sweet, creamy with orange flavoured Dairy Milk chocolate and LOADS of crunchy chewy honeycomb pieces! See the last image for how packed it is.⠀

"We much prefer it to the winter orange edition launched last year. The little orange jelly pieces in that bar weren't very good so and thankfully they aren't in this one. We recommend getting this one over the Mint Crisp which is also available again this year."

In the past some customers said it was "delicious" with one saying it was their "favourite chocolate ever". However this year it will be missing from the shelves.

Nancy, posting on X, formerly Twitter, said: "@CadburyUK will you be bringing back the orange festive crisp bar this year? Pleeeeeeasse" However Cadbury gave her a disappointing reply - but didn't take away all hope for the future.

It said: "Hi there, we're always adapting our Christmas range to ensure there's something new for everyone. This year, we've made a few updates we think you will love.

"We understand some will miss the Dairy Milk Orange Crisp Bar. Who knows, we might see them again next year. We hope this helps."

Nancy replied: "Fingers crossed it’s back next year! Me and my friends miss it!"

A spokeman for Cadbury owner Mondelēz International said: "At Cadbury we’re proud of our long-standing heritage in delivering treats that our fans have enjoyed for over 200 years and we’re always adapting our Christmas range to make sure that it is reflecting changing consumer tastebuds, and there is a range of options available to enjoy.

"In line with this, the Cadbury Dairy Milk Orange Crisp Bar is no longer available, but we have plenty of other delicious options for consumers to choose from in our 2024 festive line-up, including some exciting new treats as well as our beloved Christmas classics and returning favourites like the Cadbury Dairy Milk Mint Crisp Bar!"

This is the latest Cadbury's product to disappear from the shelves. Last November Cadbury confirmed it had scrapped its Peanut Caramel Crisp bar after five years on the shelves. Dairy Milk Marvellous Mix-ups with Oreo have also been discontinued.

The Dairy MIlk Orange went this year as did the Dairy Milk 30% Less Sugar. Other favourites which have gone over the previous years include Flake Snow and Astros, both discontinued in 2008, Aztec chocolate bar in 1978 and the Spira chocolate bar in 2005.
