A truly beautiful lochside eatery with an unbelievable view has gone viral on TikTok, with the video creator describing it as the most picturesque café in Scotland.

The Boatshed at Loch Goil is a small but perfectly formed little coffee shop in Argyll and Bute with incredible views across the loch and of the surrounding mountains.

It has a wood burning stove, a covered terrace and serves coffee, cake, toasties and homemade soup. It's the perfect cosy spot to stop, relax and soak up the beautiful scenery.

You might also spot some iconic Scottish wildlife as well; seals and red squirrels are frequent visitors to the area. The café is dog friendly too, so you can bring your furry pals along with you.

In October, Angelina, a food and travel vlogger who posts as @Onlypansglasgow on TikTok, shared a video of her recent trip to The Boatshed with the caption "autumn day trip idea". It went hugely viral, with over half a million views at the time of writing.

In the video, she labels The Boatshed "the most picturesque café in Scotland" and almost everyone who watched agreed.

One person commented: "The boat shed is a delightful little nook. And if you have a good sunny day, it doesn’t get better." Another added: "was there on 19th October absolutely breathtaking."

A third satisfied customer said: "This café is amazing! staff are super friendly, one of the best I've been too, worth the wait and the drive." It takes around an hour and fifteen minutes to get there from Glasgow by car.

Tripadvisor reviews of The Boatshed are glowing as well, with one recent visitor giving it five stars and writing: "This little cafe, overlooking the loch with both indoor and outdoor seating, is an absolute gem of a find while on a short break to the area. You would pay for the views alone! The cream of mushroom soup was delicious and the fig, ricotta & prosciutto baguette was delicious!"

Even if you visit on a bit of a dreich day, the fairy lights on the terrace will brighten your mood, and staff will even bring out blankets to keep you warm.
