Caitlyn Jenner says she's no longer talking politics: 'I just got fed up'

With just days to go before Super Tuesday, which sees the greatest number of US states cast votes to nominate presidential candidates, many celebrities are rushing to endorse their preferred presidential candidate.

But one star will be staying out of politics in 2020 is Caitlyn Jenner.

Though Jenner, a longtime Republican, showed support for Donald Trump in the 2016 election, the former reality star told The Hollywood Reporter that she prefers to keep her politics private this time around.

In 2018, the Olympian wrote an op-ed for the Washington Post distancing herself from President Trump, arguing that he had “relentlessly attacked” the trans community and declaring her 2016 vote for him a “mistake.”

Jenner told The Hollywood Reporter that she has no plans to share who will be getting her vote this year.

"I don't talk politics anymore," Jenner, parent to Kendall and Kylie Jenner alongside ex-wife Kris, said. "I tried the first couple of years [after my transition].

“I went back to Washington to make some changes and, to be honest, I just got fed up. I don't even want to get involved anymore."

The 70-year-old did has, however, publicly spoken out for trans rights in recent months.

In January the former I’m A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! campmate took the stage at the Women’s March LA.

“Together as women, trans women and cis[gender] women, we have the power to influence our communities, our families, our friends and colleagues, and turn this country around!” she told the crowd.
