Caldor Fire Turns Sky Yellow Over South Lake Tahoe as Residents Evacuate

The 177,260-acre Caldor Fire ripping through El Dorado County, California, forced residents of South Lake Tahoe to evacuate on August 29.

As the fire advanced, officials announced evacuation warnings and orders for parts of El Dorado County, including the Lake Tahoe Basin, as well as parts of Amador and Alpine counties.
