Calgary Woman Demonstrates 'Most Effective' Way to Beat Heat

A Calgary woman shared her back-to-basics method of cooling down, as a record-breaking heatwave swept across Canada and the Pacific Northwest.

Footage shared by Seanna Jefferson on June 30 shows her standing on a balcony. “Everyone keeps suggesting ‘beat the heat’ hacks,” she wrote on Twitter. “This one is BY FAR the most effective.” Jefferson then dumps a bucket of water over her head.

At midday on June 30, the temperature in Calgary was 33.5 C (92.3 F), according to Environment Canada.
