California's Manzanita Fire Nears 6,000 Acres, Evacuation Orders Expanded

A wildfire near Beaumont, California, has burned through 5,800 acres and triggered evacuation orders on Tuesday, June 27. The Manzanita Fire was 20 percent contained, according to the incident report.

An evacuation warning was issued for the Poppet Flats, Silent Valley, Mt. Edna and Twin Pines areas. Voluntary evacuations also were in place for some nearby areas.
