A man is wanted in connection with stalking offences in North Yorkshire.

Stephen Willetts, 43, of the Catterick Garrison area, has been evading officers for a month. It is believed he also has links to Ryedale, Easingwold, York, and the West Midlands where he is originally from.

North Yorkshire Police have issued an appeal for information and released a picture of Stephen. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is urged to contact the police immediately.

A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: "We have issued an appeal for a man wanted in connection with stalking offences.

"Stephen Willetts, 43, has been evading officers for a month. It is believed he had recently been living in the Catterick Garrison area.

"He also has links to Ryedale, Easingwold, York, and in the West Midlands where he is originally from. Anyone with information that could help us to locate Willetts is urged to call 101.

"For any immediate sightings, please dial 999 to ensure we can respond without delay. Information can also be passed to Crimestoppers anonymously by calling 0800 555 111 or by making an online report.

"Please quote reference number 12240187029 when providing details."
