Call the Midwife star Helen George enjoys fun family day out at Hey Duggee The Live Theatre Show
Helen George looked every inch the doting mum as she took her daughters out for an early Christmas treat to the theatre.
The Call The Midwife actress, 38, and her actor husband Jack Ashton – who previously starred with her in the beloved BBC period drama – stepped out with daughters Wren Ivy, five, and one-year-old Lark for a gala performance of Hey Duggee The Live Theatre Show in London.
Based on the hit CBeebies cartoon, this is the first time that Duggee and his Squirrels have taken to the stage.
It is brought to life through innovative puppetry, storytelling and music (yes, including The Stick Song), and is running at Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall until January 8 before touring the UK through to late summer 2023.
George won extra brownie points as not only did they see the show, they got to meet the colourful cast afterwards and posed for pictures.
Another celebrity and their off-spring earning their theatre badge was TV presenter Laura Whitmore.
She shares one-year-old daughter Stevie Ré with husband and former Love Island co-star Iain Stirling.
Whitmore took to social media to offer her congratulations to the production and it appears to have been a hit with the youngster who she said “didn’t want to sit down”.
Other VIP guests included TV presenter Ade Adepitan, Harry Potter star Jessie Cave and ITV news presenter Charlene White.
